Ashley Bent Ashley lives in the Annapolis Valley with her husband, daughter and fur babies. She's been on her yoga journey for the past thirteen years, and have been teaching since 2015. With a passion for supporting people and healing, Ashley also has training in trauma sensitive yoga with David Emerson. She is humbled to be able to share her love and passion for yoga with you.
Karen Roberts Since 2006, Karen has offered a blend of Anusara-inspired yoga and Prana Flow Yoga as taught to her by Shiva Rea. She has also studied numerous hours with yoga therapist Doug Keller, yin yoga’s Sarah Power and Paul Grilley, Baptiste Power yogi Baron Baptiste, and many more fantastic yogis over the years. In 2012 Karen's then 17 y.o. son was in a car accident which left him with a spinal cord injury which lead Karen deeper into the practice of yoga from an entirely new perspective - from the inside out; from intuition to grace; from internal wisdom and from seeking and finding integral on-line guidance from renowned yoga teacher Desiree Rumbaugh, one of the first certified Anusara teachers.
Michelle Elderkin This is Michele Elderkin’s 3rd year at Valley yoga fest , teaching children’s yoga. Michele believes in making kid’s yoga playful and fun for all ages.
Carol brings her intensive learning of anatomy, biomechanics, restorative exercise and exploring various forms of movement into her yoga practice and teaching - Coming together into a beautiful partnership of how the body moves and heals itself. The creator of FIX YOUR DAMN NECK (online soon!) and Yog-Evolve, she teaches regular classes, leads retreats, and is a damn good registered massage therapist.
Ashley Turner
Ashley Turner is a certified Yoga Teacher and former owner of Sol Yoga Studio in Kentville. She has lead hundreds of classes over her 8 years of teaching and has graduated almost 50 yoga teachers with their CYT 200. She currently resides on her small family farm in Halls Harbour, NS with her husband and two children.
Kelly Sheehan
Kelly has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for 5. She received her 200 hr YTT from Sol Yoga in 2013. She shares her love of yoga with TEENS at Wolfville School during the school year and with a community class at the North Alton Community Center on Weds. evenings. During the summer she teaches a Beach Yoga class at her home on Tupper Lake. Her favourite class is always outside in nature. Her intention is to hold space for those interested in becoming the best version of themselves.
Amanda Cox
Amanda has been teaching weekly yoga classes for the past 6 years. After completing her 200hr certification in 2012 from Sol Yoga she continued training with Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio and achieved her 500hr professional level certification in 2016. You can find her offering yin yoga as well as various Hatha Vinyasa style classes each week at My Yoga Space Kentville. All summer long she is offering a community yoga class in Oakdene Park. Amanda invites you to challenge yourself on your mat while working with that fine balance between effort and ease in your practice.
